Tramontana III project is among the winners of the 2020 edition of the European Cultural Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards in the research category.

The European Commission and Europa Nostra announced on May 7th, 2020 the winners of the 2020 edition of European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Prize. The biggest distinction in the heritage field went to 21 exemplary projects from 15 countries, among which is Tramontana Network III in the research category.

Tramontana Network III project, supported by Creative Europe in 2017, is coordinated by Binaural – Associação Cultural de Nodar (Portugal) and involves the following partners: Audiolab (Spain), Nosauts de Bigòrra, Numériculture Gascogne e Eth Ostau Comengés (the three from France), Bambun and Associazione LEM-Italia (both from Italy) and Akademia Profil (Poland).

“This project promotes an idea of European identity, and specifically mountain heritage, which is common throughout Europe. It is an excellent example of international cooperation between the researchers with expertise in diverse fields of study. The methodology used in the project is replicable across Europe and has the potential to be applied across the continent”, the Jury said.

A public choice ward is open for voting until September 1st, 2020.
