The Colognole spontaneous singing group in a documentary video

GRUPPO DI CANTO SPONTANEO DI COLOGNOLE I
Fortnightly singing workshop

Circolo Culturale Contadino di Colognole
Pontassieve, Florence, Italy
March – June 2025

This is an initiative of La Leggera as part of the “Creative Europe Tramontana IV” project.

This video documents the first season of the Colognole spontaneous singing group, a workshop devoted to the repertoires and styles of traditional peasant and mountain singing. The group met for seven evening sessions every two weeks, open to all ages and with particular attention to students of every school level, with 13 participants.

The aim was to pass on, “by ear”, the heritage of traditional songs of eastern Tuscany.
