An event organized by Eth Ostau Comengés in the context of the Tramontana Network project, funded by the European Union.

A conversation between Mathieu Fauré and Marc Galy about the history of boatbuilding in Cazères. Boatbuilding in Cazères has been documented since the late 18th century. Arnaud Atoch and his son-in-law, Laurent Lécussan, are at the origin of a dynasty of shipbuilders who supplied boats to clients on the Garonne River, its tributaries, and even the Canal Midi. Participants will learn about the characteristics of these boats and how they were built.

Un événement organisé par Eth Ostau Comengés dans le cadre du projet Réseau Tramontana, financé par l’Union européenne.

Une conversation entre Mathieu Fauré et Marc Galy sur l’histoire de la construction navale à Cazères. La construction navale à Cazères est documentée depuis la fin du XVIIIe siècle. Arnaud Atoch et son gendre, Laurent Lécussan, sont à l’origine d’une dynastie de constructeurs navals qui fournissaient des bateaux à des clients sur la Garonne, ses affluents et même le Canal du Midi. Les participants découvriront les caractéristiques de ces bateaux et la manière dont ils étaient construits.
