Field recording made on the eve of Saint Agatha’s Day in Amorebieta-Etxano and Areatza (Biscay). In Amorebieta, at the call of the Armendola cultural association, several choirs from the town gathered, first in turn and then in groups, to perform the verses that are usually sung on this very special day. In this case, we can listen to the recital of a choir composed exclusively of female voices.
In Areatza, after spending the early morning singing in different towns and the capital of Biscay, the Arratia choir gave its final recital. The villagers gathered in the square to welcome them and thank them for their work. Every year, this choir travels from village to village on this day and donates the funds raised to social projects.
