It has now been 10 years since the summer solstice fire festivals of the Pyrenees were inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Many initiatives, reflections, and attempts to reclaim the tradition have been observed. This will be an opportunity to put our experiences into perspective, bringing together both tradition bearers and field observers. Several testimonials and shared experiences will fuel the discussion and allow us to take stock of the challenges and prospects of this inscription for the vitality of our Pyrenean and Gascon culture.
This gathering will conclude with a reception hosted by Eths Amassats de Barousse.
