Description:
“The Time of the Eternal Garden” is an audiovisual journey through two distant rural realities, in Poggio delle Rose, Italy, and in Gafanhão, Portugal. This essay by Luís Gomes da Costa explores the intimacy of family vegetable gardens, bringing out their peculiarities and their surprising similarities. Between the earth, the hands and the old gestures, it tells of the slow rhythm of nature and of the man who cultivates it. It is a tribute to the farmer, a spontaneous artist who shapes forms, colours and flavours, weaving together tradition and everyday life in a dialogue between two landscapes and two cultures.
Work produced by Binaural Nodar (Viseu Dão Lafões, Portugal) in partnership with Bambun APS, Centro Studi Don Nicola Jobbi and the University of Teramo (Abruzzo, Italy), as part of the author’s doctoral research in the Doctoral Programme in Artistic Creation of the University of Aveiro.
