Description:
Based on the author’s personal experience as having roots and being a resident of a rural area on the periphery of Portugal (the Viseu-Dão Lafões region), this article raises a series of questions relevant to sound practice in specific contexts, putting into perspective some of the tensions and opportunities that currently exist in the dialogue between local listening and global cultural and social agencements.
