This is an initiative of Eth Ostau Comengés as part of the “Creative Europe Tramontana IV” project.

Screening of two documentaries devoted to rural food in Comminges. The first film, “Jeannot deth Canlat”, is devoted to a figure of the village of Saint-Lary-Boujean: between the domestication of animals, gathering and the search for water sources, it shows how the inhabitants once lived in harmony with nature. The second, “Bota’t-i pan”, focuses on food and meals, from everyday and festive meals to the most modest ones, and makes it possible to compare the diet of the years 1900-1950 with today’s eating habits. The screening, attended by 65 people, was followed by a discussion with the director Marco Farré and the participants in the two films.
