Polyphonic trio Arraditz wins at the Euròc’Vision awards in Morlaàs

The second award ceremony of the Euròc’Vision en Gasconha initiative took place on 30 May. The initiative is led by Ràdio País, Eth Ostau Comengés and Numériculture Gascogne, as part of the Tramontana Network project, co-funded by the Creative Europe programme.

The event brought together hundreds of people who came to see performances by the groups Arraditz, Duo Lugran, l’Ouzoum, Les Hardidets, Cantos Garlinesos, DBRB and the Duo Bigordan Rousse – Bouyssou. First prize went to the women’s polyphonic trio Arraditz.

Euròc’Vision is a competition of creation and of oral and musical expression that showcases the Gascon and Occitan regional languages. Its aim is to promote the cultural and artistic richness of the territory and to strengthen creative work in regional languages.
