On July 24th, an initiative proposed by Binaural Nodar took place as part of the Granja Ativa 2026 – International Work Camp project, organized by the Granja Sports and Recreation Group.
This specific initiative was co-curated by the associations Binaural Nodar (Viseu Dão Lafões) and Sincròniques (Valencian Community) and is also part of the activities of the European project Tramontana Network, co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe program.
The “Common Land Day” consisted of an interpretive, sensory, and musical walk through the common lands around the village of Granja, passing through sites such as Lenteiro do Rio Mau, Redondelo, and Serra do Couço, while promoting interaction among volunteers, the community, experts, and artists.
The event featured contributions from Binaural Nodar coordinator Luís Gomes da Costa; Uruguayan anthropologist and sound artist Ana Rodríguez; and traditional Valencian musicians Laia and Pau Puig Olives, with the event contributing to a performative and multidisciplinary interpretation of the communal areas.
