Meeting with the association “E bene venga maggio” from Monghidoro (Bologna Apennines). In this part of Italy, the Apennines divide the region of Tuscany from the region of Emilia-Romagna. The two associations (La Leggera and E bene venga maggio) also operate along one of the main roads that historically connect the north and south of the peninsula.

Through a workshop on the traditional dances of the Bologna Apennines and a concert, we will seek to study the connection and articulating function of the intangible heritage of these two contiguous areas. Placida Staro, director of the Monghidoro Mountain Culture Research Centre, is one of the most experienced figures nationally and internationally in the field of anthropological, ethnomusicological and ethnocoreological studies, who will lead this workshop.
