Exhibition/Concert/Public event

Organized by Audiolab, as part of the Creative Europe Tramontana IV project.

This artistic creation speaks of the border, on both sides of the Bidasoa. This boundary has much to say. Today, this border has become immense and impassable, since the words ‘terrorism’, “COVID” and ‘immigration’ have been included in the same sentence. Every day, we see immigrants stranded, inhumane, black as the earth, their heads in their hands, surrounded by their uniforms. It is worse at night. At night, we see children our age running along the side of the road or hiding in the cold and fear.

Before these people, Basques, Jews, Spaniards and Portuguese also crossed this border. Since the border was drawn, it has become a scar of the flight from happiness. Many of them settled on both sides of the border, and their families still bear the scars of the horrors they experienced. We want to tell the story of each of them, at the final border between the possible and the impossible.
