Description:
The catalog Praxis and Poiesis 1.1.5.6 refers to an exhibition under the same title, organized by the Department of Communication and Art at the University of Aveiro, in partnership with Binaural Nodar, that is part of the creative activities of the Tramontana Network.
The artistic creations presented in the exhibition cover a wide range of media, including performance, sculpture/painting, video, mixed media, interactive installation, and sound art.
The exhibition is based on the development of practice-based research projects that seek to strengthen students’ autonomy in the realization of their works and raise awareness of the meaning of the creative act itself—essential aspects of artistic practice.
The exhibition’s proposal is based on the idea of deepening knowledge, based on the substance of concepts and relationships established with aspects of reality (expressive reflection on places, people, stories, social processes, and materials), seeking a comprehensive understanding of artistic practice, a process guided by a multi- and transdisciplinary perspective, with the aim of developing, applying, and expanding knowledge and reflection on the visual, sound, and performing arts.
