An initiative of La leggera as part of the Creative Europe Tramontana IV project.
Weekly workshop (from September 2025 to May 2026) studying the repertoires and styles of traditional peasant and mountain dance music. This ensemble music workshop is open to all ages and all instruments. It is led by Marco Magistrali using the “by ear” method.
The aim is to pass on and share oral knowledge of the musical and dance heritage of the region concerned: eastern Tuscany. The study materials come from field research carried out by the association “La leggera” and its own research and archive center: LASCITO (Social Archives of the Intangible Culture of Eastern Tuscany).
