An initiative by Akademia Profil, in the context of Tramontana Network, a Creative Europe funded-project.
On August 30th, the first Tramontana Festival took place at the Muchomorek Creative Workhouse in Kamionki, Pieszyce. The event featured educational workshops for children and young people, led by Magdalena Masewicz-Kierzkowska, meetings with travellers accompanied by slide shows, led by Marcin Kuś and Rafał “Kmicic” Kucharski, as well as encounters with resident artists participating in the program “Artist Residencies in Central Sudetes: Focusing on Water,” including Grzegorz Kumorek, Agata Jarosławska, Jitka Králová, Barbora Fastrová, Zofia Reznik, and Zlata Ziborová.
The festival also included a closing meeting that summarized the educational project, “The World in Your Hands.”
The day concluded with a screening of a film documenting European pastoral migration traditions in mountain regions, produced as part of the Tramontana Network IV project.
